Tensioning your flip key is one of the final steps of your conversion. Due to popular demand, we are including this section at the beginning.
The videos below demonstrate the flip key conversion procedure. Following the transfer of your main electronics board into the shell (and chip if applicable) you will need to refer to the above video to tension the spring so that the key flips out (as demonstrated in the above video).
Remotes with separate chip and electronics include the following FCC ID's (which can be found on the back part of your remote): OUCG8D-380H-A, CWTWB1U545, and MLBHLIK-1T.
If your remote has any of the above FCC ID's, you MUST remove your chip and install it into the rectangular chip space in the flip key mod. Chip space is on top right of back (opposite of button hole) side. Direction of chip is not important but should be fastened using double sided tape. Once installed, refer to the next video.
Remotes with an integrated transponder chip include the following FCC ID's: (which can be found on the pack part of your remote): KR55WK49308, N5F-A05TAA, and NSF-S0084A
No chip removal is required if your remote has one of the FCC ID's above. Simply install your electronics into the mod shell as shown in the above video.
This video is a repeat of the above video and demonstrates the procedure to tension your flip key.
