Remotes with separate chip and electronics include the following FCC ID's (which can be found on the back part of your remote): OUCG8D-380H-A, CWTWB1U545, and MLBHLIK-1T.
If your remote has any of the above FCC ID's, your chip MUST be removed (removal procedure is shown in the video above) and affixed into new shell (using either double-sided tape or a 'glue dot') . If you do not transfer the chip, your vehicle will NOT start.
Once chip and electronics module are installed in new shell, refer to the video at the bottom of this page for the procedure to close your shell.
If your chip is integrated in your electronics module (and your remote has one of the following FCC ID's: KR55WK49308, N5F-A05TAA or NSF-S0084A ) no chip removal is required and you may refer to the above video for a detailed installation demonstration.
Once electronics module is installed in new shell, refer to the video at the bottom of this page for the procedure to close your shell.
