CLOSING YOUR SHELL WITHOUT GAPS - FINAL SECTION

NOTE THAT:  The replacement shell used in this video is not a Lexus shell (we did not have a Lexus remote on hand during the time of filming) however the conversion kit is identical to the Lexus conversion kit.  All steps shown in the video can be used to assist in demonstrating the Lexus shell closing procedure.

This is the final step in your remote repair however due to customer demand, we are including this at the beginning.  For the entire conversion process please watch the videos below first.  Once done, return to these videos to complete your installation (and close your shell without gaps).

The video above demonstrates the proper technique to close your shell without gaps.  

• Shell should be closed at 45 degrees then slid upwards (as shown in video)
• If shell is closed with gaps, reattempt closing the shell until it is successfully closed with no gap

If after numerous attempts you are unable to successfully close the shell without gaps, please refer to the next video.  

 If you are still unable to close your shell without a gap (using the technique demonstrated in the prior video), you may wrap the shell (with key, electronics, and chip (if applicable) inside) and carefully tap it down with a mallet, or rubber hammer.

The section at the end of this page might also be helpful when attempting to close your shell if you do not have a mallet/hammer, or do not wish to use one.  It also includes useful tips in the event that your screw does not line up.
